Get New Cleaning Supplies

Getting new cleaning supplies can be a great motivator. Get some fun fresh scents for spring that will be sure to put you in the cleaning mood! Once you have all the supplies, get a portable basket that you can tote around to the different areas of your house. This will also make it easier for the next time you have to clean. 

Organizational Containers

Check to see what you have for organizational containers as it can get overwhelming quickly, so see what you have first. You don’t need to go crazy with buying organizational products/containers, just start with a few areas that you feel confident with organizing and go from there.

Get Some Measurements 

There is nothing worse than getting home with your brand-new purchase and finding out it doesn’t fit in your space. Be sure to get some quick measurements before you go to purchase any organizational containers. Remember, measure twice, buy once!

Take Everything Out

You need to see and touch everything from the drawer, closet, cupboard etc. It may seem silly, but I promise once you see everything out and you can hold each item, you will be sure to declutter even better. If you stick with this step, I guarantee the next time you need to declutter this space it will be far less daunting because I bet you will get rid of more than you originally thought.
